Just before 4:30 in the morning, units were dispatched for the gas leak outside. When the Deputy went enroute, County radio advised it was a natural gas leak...caused by a pickup truck that over turned, slid into a house, and took out the gas main. PD arrived to find the driver had fled the scene (Don't worry, they got him). Deputy 80 took command and crews secured the area while awaiting PECO gas to shut the line due to the high pressure leak. Units were on scene about 2 1/2 hours until the pickup truck was righted and towed away.
Units on Scene:
Deputy 80 (Command)
Squad 80
Tower 80
